After living with repetitive touch ups on their white painted cabinets, this family was excited to upgrade to a functional kitchen with professional appliances and furniture factory finished cabinets for their 12 year old home.
The "function" part of the kitchen created the inspiration for the new oversized island and cabinetry complete with roll outs, pull outs, and interior rollouts behind deep drawer fronts.
This new island required the slab to be trenched for the new plumbing to accommodate the new sink placement, as you can see from the pictures of "marking the new island" for plumbing placement. The icemaker was one of the "must haves" and became part of the planning process and was strategically placed by the refrigerator.
The fabulous Hood was created and designed by the homeowner who is an architect.
We integrated a pleasant combination of three cabinet finishes, two of which are painted on maple and the third a stain on Clear Alder.
The two aluminum tambour units house small appliances and a great coffee center.
